The RDI Certificate in Decentralization & Web3 Technology Innovations offers UC Berkeley students the opportunity to grow their knowledge and skills in this emerging space through a series of carefully designed classes and experiences. We offer five different tracks allowing you to dive deeper into a category that excites you the most. The skills and network you build through participating in one or more of these tracks will set you up for success in this rapidly growing industry of Decentralization and Web3.

Certificate Requirements

6 Units total from a combination of Track Specialization Courses and/or RDI Approved Courses & Volunteer Activities. Click on the Track Specialization options below. (Note that this certificate is issued from Berkeley RDI and will not be part of a student’s transcript.)

Decentralized Finance course (at least 3 units)

RDI Fellows program that includes 135 volunteer hours in support of RDI over 1 year period (see this form to apply)

Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator Fellows program that includes 135 volunteer hours in support of the Xcelerator over 1 year period (see this form to apply) + RDI Approved course(s) (at least 3 units)

Certificate Completion

RDI Certificate Completion Application form. Applications will be reviewed once after the end of each term. Eligible participants will receive their RDI Certificate via email within one month of the grade posting deadline. Please note if you do not submit your application by the grade posting deadline, your application may not be reviewed until the end of the following term.
